I did it to my black car today. I think it looks better. When the windows are tinted on the black the windows are very reflective... the paint is very reflective and that grey vinyl kinda stands out.

Yeah, I definitely want to see the black with it removed.
Mine is black and I'm debating on doing this... if the gasket could be capped - I'd be sold 100%.

I did mine about 4 months ago and I love it. Yes it does break up the flow of the window, but it looks alot better than the flat black vinyl. IMO.

i like the black thing better...it keeps your fingerprints from being all over the paint, and if I took MINE off, thered be scratches all fuckign over that spot lol
(holding keys and fingernails when closing the door)
it protects...looks fine in my opinion!

i think it woudl be a good idea to change it out with a glossier vinyl but removing it all together looks too odd

I dunno, i think it would look good on a black cobalt. But on any other color its gonna look odd. Bc for some reason that vinyl really helps carry the line of the windows and makes it look clean.

I think it only works well for the black cars, otherwise it beaks the line flow from the end of the front window to the front of the back window

there is a screw right at the end that holds the gasket on. if you unscrew it it makes it so much easyer to remore the bottem.
