Only if you use something really strong like varsol. You should be fine with generic paint thinner or, *cough*, aftershave.

i just finished redoing my headlights.. the aftalene took care of the clear thank god and it didnt mess up the plastic. all im doing now is waiting another hour before i put them back in.. hopefully it will still be somewhat light out so i can take some pics

thanks. yes i did it myself. not sure which bowtie ya mean but if ya mean the center caps or the ss up front where the bowtie used to be. if ya mean up front i just took the grill out and wrapped it in black vinyl put it back together lol.

ah the vinyl sounds like a good idea... i actually never thought of that. hmm.. would you be able to tell me where you was able to find vinyl for the eyelids that matches the victory red on the car?

BTW have any close up shots of the front grille?

um yea i dunno about finding victory red vinyl other then maybe a local shop somewhere, i ordered mine through auto trim dresign but the colors was horrible, so i painted them on instead so they match. i dont have any good up close shots of the grill i dont think but i will check.

ive been wanting to do eyelids for the longest time. i just need to decide whether or not to go vinyl, or paint them on. any suggestions?

it all depends on your prefference, i painted mine because it matched better then the color vinyl i got

h found one, not the best but closest shot i have.

That was a good enough shot for me... thanks. The vinyl looks great. Cant really tell its vinyl.. And im not sure yet about painting on the eyelids. Im going to continue to look for vinyl.

just go to a sign makers shop and ask for scrap vinyl. they should give it to ya for free, but if they wanna be a jerk about it, they may charge ya a lil.

I had my eylids Installed yesterday....I have a Black Balt, they look BEAUTIFUL!!! Ill Post pics when I get my Charger for my camera. They are vinyl it was easy to match with a black car.

I know where to get vinyl at. I'm just having a hard time finding anthing close to VICTORY red... Its not easy to find a red to match. So far none of the local vinyl shops have anything close.
