What's the best paint for wheels?
Hey everyone,
I bought a set of Ss/na wheels for winter and the are scratched up a bit so i plan on painting them. My question is, I'm wondering what the best paint would be to use. I wanna paint them gold. The only problem is duplicolor wheel paint only comes in bronze and not gold. Would it be fine to use the duplicolor engine enamel or just regular gold duplicolor paint? Of course I'll be sanding them and priming them as well. I want them to be able to hold up thru our Canadian winters.
Thanks in advance!

VHT Engine Metallic
The thing that's throwing me off with the engine enamel I that it says you have to bake it for like 2-300*f which would be an engine cycle but the rims wouldn't get that hot :s

Yeah we do use road salt but I just dent want to fork out $400 to get them powdercoated, especially where I just forked out a grand for the rims and tires. They are chrome now, if I hit them up with some 800-1000 grit wet sand paper, could they be buffed back to a shine?
