Wheel paint chipping warrantied?

How many of you have had the chipping stock wheels repainted under warranty? One of my back ones is getting really bad.

ive heard this before, i'd imagine if your "bumper to bumper" they would fix it for you. just make sure you clean your car before you go, so they dont call it user error and say you just neglected the wheel.

I would hope they would fix it under warranty, but the stealership could say the chips were from road debris (rocks, mud, ice, etc) and not fix it...it would be almost like getting rock chips on the hood from traffic and crap... But good luck..I hope that dont try to screw ya..

Mine have started to peel in at least one corner of the spokes on alll 4 wheels. I showed the dealership and they said they'll have the rep come on the 11th to make the call. I don't know why when they found the issue as a TSB in their system...

bumper to bumper does NOT cover the wheels. You have to get an extra warranty that covers the wheels and rims. Already talked to my dealer since my mom hit a curb w/ my car...

All 4 of mine were chipping off. The paint was chipping on the back side meaning not the direction of travel. My dealer had all of mine refinished and did them in Black like I asked at no charge. Covered under Warranty.

Yea you need a separate warranty which costs like $400 for 5 years or $250 for 2 years. You can get new rims/tires unlimited times according to the dealer but I doubt that.

I bought mine used with the factory warranty is all. But I pushed the issue that the chips were not on the direction of rotation side. They called GM and they told my dealership to fix them.

No, you can buy it afterwards. Now that I think about it it is worth it to get a completely new set of tires before the warranty runs out...

Got my wheels replaced under the normal bumper to bumper warranty. 2nd dealer I went to. They treated me like a human, not like I was trying to scam them. BRAND NEW WHEELS too, not recons. I did not mention my other trip to the other dealer. Woot!

I went through the dealer's on premesis body shop first. The body manager was down to earth and knew how to deal with people. I was impressed with the whole process. Wheels look great!
