Yeah I called Don Howson the other day before I knew how rare these cars were. I figured if you see the advertising on TV the lots are filled with them. I had no idea that there's only 4 in Ontario. Who knew?

Well, anywho I call up asking if it's possible to test drive an SS, and the sales guy on the other end start talking to me like I'm some stupid punk kid with no money.

" ABSOLUTEY NOT! These cars are hot hot hot... we are selling it 13% over MSRP and lease only!"

At first I thought the guy was being sarcastic and joking but he wasn't! OMG Thanks a lot jack A** with sales guys like you so no wonder GM is dying. Thanks for gouging Don.

If I do get an SS you can be sure it will NOT be from Don Howson! Go back to basic sales class 101.

Haha yeah, these cars are hot but the retards at Don Howson have no idea what they are doing. I am sorry but no one is going to pay 13% over sticker on a lease.

My car is going to be right at sticker on a lease, plus I get a sunroof and the colours I want.....hmmmmm.....which is a better deal?

Don Howson called me 3 times this week to come in and buy their car (never should of left my name and number there)

Whoa! Excellent. Sounds like you're having fun. I have a feeling I would get the shaft though, either wait forever for a car I have to buy off of paper and not get to test drive and have some stupid salesguy talk to me like I'm some kid. NO THANKS.

That sales experience was SO OFF PUTTING that I think I'm going to say screw the whole SS thing. I'm not going to go chase around TO to find a dealer willing to sell me a car.

I see that Chevy is trying to steal HONDA guys (And I'm a Honda tuner guy) and their engineers have seem to have done a good job, they got my attention. But perhaps they might want to try to talk to their sales force and bring them in line with this effort. Great on the design and execution, HORRIBLE on the follow through.

I'm the consumer there GM Canada, am I the one who has to search around TO to find a dealer willing to sell me a car??? Give me a break.

BTW, I'm 30 years old, work in the financial industry, and I make a lot more than an 18 year old working at MacDonalds. So for my rant guys... but it's so off putting I don't know if I want to own an SS anymore.

I went to shaganappi in calgary today

top notch service!

i have been in contact with a salesman at this dealer through email, he went and checked out all the stuff for me that i wanted to know

today, he checked for the SS for me, and filled out all the paperwork and even got me in early to the financing rep to get pre-approval to go ahead with purchasing the car

i think it all depends on who you go to.

I am very impressed with shagannappi right now

Okay I've slept on it, and I'm still sort of there. but the things that are hanging me up are the non-heated leather seats. Can you confirm that?

also can I ask how old you are and how much you pay on insurance? I guess you can pm me that info of you don't feel comfortable hanging it all out.

I'm 24 years old and will be paying 161.50 a month until July, then I turn 25 and my payments will be reduced.

I get a sweet discount due to a family plan.

Did you ask your dealer to look around and find you one sitting somewhere like mine did? Go for it! He called me back the same day (Friday) and I'm picking it up tomorrow already, exactly what I want, except no side airbags which I can live with. It's the only option I can live without actually. It's worth a shot! All I need is my winter tires/rims now, which come to $1500 (OUCH!) but they are the best winter performance tires out there.
