I really think 15.3 for your car is quite respectable...
the only other thing we could do to try to help you out, is check what the Density altitude was, and try to hit the track on a night where the DA was "lower"... that will drop your E/T's
but if you look at the #2 & #3 spots, I'm guessing we had a good night considering I'm stock, and only 3/10th's off of the #2 spot...
(plus I did check it some time ago, it looked like my best run was clearly sub fourteens with DA correction - which further confirms my suspicion that we ran on a great night.)
it is but honestly i didnt even take my spare out lol..... so a full interior removal including pass seat... and a next to fresh oil change with some secrets i do.... i was like 35% and a dirty air filter when i ran last... between those things and weight reduction. i bet sub 15 buddy.... hell i figure if i didnt miss sec gear on 2 of my runs it would have been 15.1....

I make a point of not doing any weight reduction either.
I don't wait too long between oil changes (normally done by the time I hit 50%), but other than taking off the (expensive) Conti's, I just run it as-is.
I pretty much do the same in the Grand Am too - I always have the full interior, and even my spare in place...

I don't doubt it's possible.
also the more track time you have in your car, the better your runs will be.
for me, I needed to focus, and have a rhythm - otherwise I'd goober something up...
(this is why when I get to the front of the line, I won't really joke around.)

lol, ya agreed sub 14 would be achieved with some laughing gas..... however honestly i get alot of flank from other members about how duals are crap... and dont add just take hp away.... if i pulled a sub 15 at race city, a place that generaly runs a second slower then sea level. then what do they have to say then...... see where i am getting to.... then next year with a stg and some cooling mods. also traction and finish the exhaust mods. i will try for sub 14.... the one thing i am doing is setting the bar high.... as matter of fact i wish to out run you with the eaton sc there tjay.... hahahaha if possible at all... hahahaah you seem to have a huge head start on me lol.... i am also not sure if it is possible to out run the tvs...
haha well good luck, i always like a healthy competition. Im looking forward to next year, i have evrything externally done there is to do, winter is build time.....ported head, new pistons, and maybe a shot of N20......we'll see what the spring brings. Im hoping if its nice enough out to get to the track this year with my new tires, setting the coilovers to as stiff as possible in back, new clutch, and the tune dialed in i can get a 13.7 to 13.9 this year, then its aiming for 12's next year at race city. Of course this may require a driver mod haha
hey tjay you have strut tower brace yet???? if not i bet it will help too.... i know it did in the sunfire when i did it... it was a very noticible diff to me anyway.... i truely believe in these cars suspension is everything.... it will mean the diff in sc's beating turbo's. we can ram as much money and hp into the balt as we want, but if we cant hook it up.... then it is a huge waste....

keep in mind iirc (well at least at this time) RC will be done after next year;
I'd wouldn't put too much hope in RC being maintained for next year - unless it's backed by city council and the owner wants to go out with a bang...
the paving repairs done this year were done by a paving company that donated the time/materials... otherwise we'ld be in rough shape right now (winters take a toll on RC's tack surface)

I only just noticxed this part;
Who ever said that is plain & simple on crack.
If anything a freer flowing exhaust can move the powerband higher up, at the expense of some bottom end power - BUT IN NO WAY WILL IT MAKE YOU LOOSE POWER;
(actually moving the power band up means yu can launch at a higher RPM)
Anything lost on the bottom end power band will be more than made up for on the top end.
The exact same thing goes with single exit exhaust cars which have had a header/larger OD pipe installed...
For anyone to bash you for what is essentially a dual exit after the axle, lower backpressure exhaust, is not only retarded, it's ignorant.
One of the reasons why I liked Pontiac's styling, is it retained the dual exit look an their GT type cars... something I would like to do on my car , should opportunity arrise...
Here's a video of the exhaust I'd love to have:
YouTube - Cobalt SS Dual Outlet Exhaust Loudmouth II
My brother has a similar system that Modern Performance makes for the C-SRT4 (99.8% of the people out there would be hard pressed to even clue into it not being stock);

the only situation where having not enough backpressure would really hurt you is if you need backpressure (eg: turbo) - otherwise, all reduced backpressure will do, is make it flow better at higher RPM...
anyone hittign the track up in calgary on friday?
or edmonton... im up in edmonton until friday night so i can hit either track if people are going

no i totally agree with you guys on that dual issue... however you damn well know the idiots on this forum.... if you dont have a single exhuast and a evo mod your car is shyt... lol hahahaha you follow what i mean.... as for it being axle back well next year i hope it will be resonator back... hell i truely believe it is the only reason i am able to run below a stock time. we all know that a cai doesnt do much unless there is something there to support it. as for rc shutting down, well med hat or edm here i come.....
