Depending on how old I it some of it you will never get off and it's actually corroded the rim, if your going to be painting the rim anyways just sand it.

+ Time
+ patience
+ (flat) razor blade
+ reducer
-------------
= cleaned

Seriously.

(Paint) reducer is probably one of the bigger secrets around... But be careful, because it VERY quickly strips through clear coat & paint.

I would not suggest sanding it, at most a scouring pad should suffice.

Well I scuffed the inside of the rim with 600grit anyways to help the paint stick. The outside has curb rash and needs a good sand+ fill and paint

don't use filler on a rim.

Filler is for the middle of a panel, and to be used to only even out the smallest of imperfections of said panel.

until you slightly put some stress on it.... such as bump a curb...... it should be filled with aluminum or metal if serious enough..... if not serious then sand out.... what color did you decide

I've been reading that if you use an aluminum filler, and prep right, guys have had no problems mourning tires on the rim.

a body filler is diff tho.... its a powder and when you mount the wheels you run the risk of cracking the paint and crumbling the filler, are you using aluminum?

I wouldn't be using body filler, but an aluminum filler. Something like jb weld but better. I gotta go look at a couple different ones

Here I figured you had it figured out;
if you would have messaged me, I would have mailed you a set by now.

that's alot of gas for a couple bolts.

if you'ld like to save gas, why not go to pick n pull to grab some?

but if you are coming down this way, and can't get ahold of Mark, shoot me a call.
