two weeks?

ok, I'll take your word on that one...

you're running all seasons right Mark?

this would be around the time of year in 2008-2010 when newer CSS owners would come to realize just how crap-tastic the OEM Conti's were in snow

a warm garage?

I have one DOA slowbalt, and one car who's clutch won't properly bleed out for me in there...

I know what you mean, I do have it good, but I really haven't used it that way;
I think in early 2010 the Cobalt did get to park in the garage semi-regularly, otherwise it has infrequently been parked there (for example, I had it parked there while I was on my spring road trip this year)....

All night car wash's are great places to do oil changes, and swap tires around ~ they're MUCH warmer than my garage...

Or just change your oil and swap your tires before the extreme cold hits

I occasionally go to the CA thread(s) ~ then again my mom & step dad live in Hermosa Beach...

...and to add injury to insult, I'm still awaiting my SoCal Ecotec shirts

I know it's supposed to be warm, but I need to paint my rims, so warm weather is welcome haha

Plus if it freak snows like last night (only called for <1cm) then I would be prepared

ideally you want to paint when it's over 15c

I would hardly call last night "freak snow" - they were calling for it for several days in advance...

accumulation was no worse than I recall hearing the forcast's suggest what we would see either.

I could be wrong, but I've understood the precipitation forcasts have more to do with the actual water content - over the depth of the snow - as temperature, and snow flake formation would have paramount bearing on the actual perceived snow depth (or accumulation) observed.

TO look at it another way, you can have the same amount of precipitation fall in two separate areas of town, but the conditions might make the perceived amount to be different...

Hopefully it will be alright on your way back. Most of the snow is gone over here.

Annnd I already found a new place for my shoes so you can now get to your winter tires
