i've found the other way around to be more true. They make it seem all perfect and that you'll have the most perfect job... then once you get the job they own you and decide your fate from there.

I'm covering a Matt leave and the person is coming back in April. So I gotta find a new job. Going to stay with the company but in hopefully a different division. I'm hoping for a financial analyst role or business performance analyst but. Worst case scenario I can have the same position i do now but in Canmore. Which would be badass

speak for yourself...

I'm very happy where I'm at... then again I might be the person here who most recently changed employers.

Cell phones pretty much made CB's obsolete...
So unless you have trucker friends (ect) that you want ot converse with - I suspect that you won't find too many people with CB's these days.

Which begs the question;
In this day & age of distracted drivers laws;
talking (let alone texting) on a cell phone is punishable by steep fines;
talking on CB's isn't...

Would anyone care to explain this to me?

Maybe we should all devise a method of creating fake CB's, so that we can talk on our cell phones without fear of the law coming down on us...

or we could do like I believe you were supposed to do back in the day, and leave CB conversations to the passenger.

Apparently CB's are on the list with cell phones and stuff for distracted driving. You get the same fine of 140 some dollars if you are caught talking on them.
