The car I'm interested is new and will require financing. I don't like that. So for now I'm sticking with my cobalt. I'll find a way to keep it fun. Add more power and fix up the body. The cobalt is my first car, so it hasn't always had the best treatment. I want to get the dents fixed and a new front bumper. This will make me enjoy it more, and increase it's value if I ever want to sell it (god forbid).

So I'm excited that I get to finally fix my brother's car but sad because I've been waiting for my tuner for 3 weeks and now I'm starting to wonder if it's stuck at the border it's taking so long

I'm just waiting to come there when I'm fixed so you take my car out. It's running good right now but I know it can be way better

more like april when i have everything i need. its a pretty big job to do the clutch, head, and timing. rather do it all at once. i have a few small jobs to do to the body and interior before i tackle the rest. not to mention i have to finish stripping the old car and cut it up.

Are you pulling everything or leaving the block in?

if by some stroke of good luck, you find a scrap metal hauler who is willing to take a car that has been stripped to the bones, please hook me up with his name and number, because I am leaning towards doing exactly the same as you;
I want to get hte white car out of my garage so that I can drive the '70 in and start picking at it.
I had originally wanted to keep the white car complete, but after it being apparent that I would need to spend something north of $2k to buy a Tech-II in order to unlock the BCM ~ then finding a buyer for the (replacement) interior last year served to pretty much set me up to scrap it...
I'll keep the doors, and front end, as well as the cradle, drivetrain, and probably most of hte wiring...
If I find someone willing ot haul it away, it will have a rear axle with space saveers to roll on - otherwise, I'll cut it up, load it into a truck, and get some $$ for the scrap metal weight.
IIRC the downpipe alone is worth something - I believe Hailey got $100 for her old one.

I believe that the LNF headpipes have more than double the platium (?), what ever the case, there are actually two oversized cats on the single headpipe - iirc LSJ's only have one.

if there is 2 cats on 1 dp then yes she got 80. the cats in our car stock are worth 40 a piece. im going to call cousin mo over at mo's disposal when i get done chopping the shell up. let him deal with it. all i have left to do is windshield, steering wheel, brake and power steering boosters. i may chop out the quarter and rear glass too. i will take the rest of the wiring out, cut the plugs and strip down the copper.

Hey!

I would have messaged you last time I was there, but it was once again during the week, and although I actually drove the Cobalt last time, I had my finace with me...

I found my way back to the AT&T store - but this time for Red Robin's

If my memory serves me correctly, you were working at a dealership in Kennewick (or maybe it was Pasco?), are you still working there?

Then, this past year when I let my membership here lapse, I had to purge my PM box... so I forgot your user name.

Perfect that's what I was thinking too. What time?

Now my car is running better and faster on less boost. I took a look at my PPC tune is was just a little more aggresive than the GMS1 tune. pretty bad for $900

when you get a tune from a performance company it is essentially a canned tune. specially if you dont datalog and send it back for adjustments. i would rather go to trifecta. hptuners is still by far better then the rest.

whenever you get here is fine, major ridicule should be here getting some work done. so i will be at the shop all day.

well off to half wrap a fire truck, i hope its gravy.
