also for your information kevin. there is 1 rule that holds true in everything in life. there is no substitution for cubic inchs. this holds true in motors, homes, yards, meals, and dingalings. the next time a lady says to you its not the size that matters, its how you use it. that is a complete lie. she just didn't want to hurt your feelings. same with motors. bigger is better.

 

with all the momey you've put into that 454, surely you can safely rev it higher than 5500rpm!?

iirc my Firebird made peak hp closer to 6300rpm...

 

I had my 4.3 basically a v6 version of a 350 rev to 8000rpm

 

ATI does not recommend reving past 4500 on a completely stock motor lol
