be Happy with what you have created Mark, its a hell of a car! i respect ANYONE who works on their own car and i expect the same in return. Remember, i used to have an Ion, the bastard child of this site for the longest time i know how you feel.

gmpp ftw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

looks like I have decent full card for sat. kevin has made it a point to make sure I have races against many different cars. some want rematches, some are bitter about the asswhoppins handed to them in the past, some just want to see what the hipe is about.

regardless, if I go 0 for X in these races I will hook up the meth kevin. actually the day that sean beats me will be the day I hook it up. so that way I will continue to put cars, uhmmmm I mean buses on him. I promised sam I would never loose to the euroboy.

you also asked me if there was anything I could do to beat the 5L. there is! its called meth. I only lost by half car. meth would push it over the edge.

the part I hate is all roads lead back to meth.

1 last thing, I am so glad the rest of the world doesn't have the same attitude as you guys do about appearance mods. if they did my industry would not exist. so thank you all for supporting my way of living..

Pump gas sucks. That's all it comes down to. I tried to rid of meth injection but will be going back to it. Without E it's the only way to make decent power with these cars.

But so far right now I'm actually pretty impressed what my car is doing with just 94 and 23psi. Gettin close to rollers time.

So after a little reading, thinking and being an idiot..... I've decided to get me a smaller pulley when I get home. The 4 to 5 lbs of boost I see at the shift point (5000-5500 rpm) is a little disheartening even though the truck hauls. I'll be shooting for 8-12 lbs next spring. Maybe even replace the head and intake gaskets to handle more

Does that mean you're instaling meth for this weekend or when Sean beats you?

A little comparison on a bored day at work. Here is a Virtual Dyno graph of Dustin's car and my car overlaid. Take these with a grain of salt, but I do know that with how it is setup right now it has gotten me within 2% accuracy and tighter on 3 setups/cars that I have logs of right before they went on an actual dynojet. My graph starts later because I didn't go WOT until 4850 rpms or so and full boost hits around 5200 in this run. My weight is so high because I had 3 people in the car, one at 230lbs, one at 180lbs, and myself. Then the usual stuff like a pretty full fuel tank and typical **** in the car. Anyone familiar with virtual dyno knows what I'm talking about.

Dustin's car - Red line:

Stock Gen 3 2.0 - 9.2:1 CR, ported head, ZZP S2 turbo cams
S252et turbo setup
94 octane pump gas - no meth
23 psi, 16* total timing, 11.8-11.9 AFR
Still revising the tune, but it's close. Car is begging for a bigger turbo/meth with how its flowing.

My car - Green line:

Gen 3 2.1 9.7:1, ported head, ZZP S2 turbo cams
s259et turbo setup
E85 fuel
30 psi, 20* total timing, 11.3 AFR
Usually run to 8k, power usually peaks at 7600-7700

What do you need to do one? Just a log? Can you do mine or Mark's car?

Whp.

Brad Barnhill virtual dyno. Download it. As long as your parameters are close it's actually pretty damn accurate. Yup just load in an hpt pull.

Yeah similar curves. His boost can come on a little earlier if we both hit it down low, and my power peaks about 1k rpms higher, but nothing too crazy.

Silicone makes everything better!

I've been doing some research and looks like I might have to go to an 8 rib serpentine system or hold off on making more boost. Apparently the 6 rib system is prone to slippage smaller than a 3.40 mm pulley. I have a 3.55 mm now and the stock crank which gives me around 46,xxx rpm on the compressor wheel. I have lots of room to go as max is 62,000 rpm but not sure if the 6 rib can handle the load

So does that mean you have to replace all the pulleys?

Just got back from having some runs was lots of fun!

Ya, I would have to replace all the pulleys with 8 rib ones. I guess I should have just upgraded to the D1SC when I bought the kit

I think it was only a couple hundred more to get the D1 instead of the P1. Now I'll have to fork out $2800 for the D1 or wait til I blown it up lol

isn't that about the proce of a decent set of heads?

if so why not do engine upgrades rather than pulley down;
because (depending on your cam ect) there's ALOT more in your engine.

I have edelbrock heads, hooker long tubes, edelbrock intake manifold, edelbrock tbi cam, msd ignition system. The next engine upgrades would be a different fuel injection system. The heads are the 60499's, 110 cc chambers and larger oval ports.

so last night i tried something new. the wifey and i had a appointment for the props setup for this party we are having. which went well, expensive but well. we go from there to a undisclosed location til future comments. we have decided we wanted to learn salsa. so we go down to the classes and we go in. needless to say i am like way out of my comfort zone here. once we have arrived i am checking things out, and damn if jon and kevin comes to mind. there was like 80 people there and approx 65/35 split ratio of women there. now there are some there with their partners but yet i bet 80% of the ladies were single. hahahahahahahahaahahahahahahaa ella and i had a great time, and most of her co workers are joining us. its really too bad that your work doesnt allow you to go jon. i know you would be speechless. kevin tho, hahahahhahaha i think you might enjoy yourself. specially if you have any idea on how to dance.
