ya he is here now, the tow truck driver was telling us on how to make a cobalt ss fast. he was saying that we should use a toyota block, coz thats what they are doing for big hp in these cars. heck they arrived 20 mins ago and he still hasnt unhooked the wench cable lol. dude didnt even notice that there was a ss cobalt there. even after he clued in that there was modified ss there, he continued to tell us how to make big power. i had to step away, wasnt worth my time to explain to him that he was a dumb ass.

No idea on steelies, best bet for an intercooler pump would be zzp or eBay. It's the same pump that the 03-04 cobras use

yep best to buy the pump new. far as I know not one of us has a new pump in storage.

I think your all on glue about the smoke coming from my exhaust. that is just carbon, exhaust, and fuel. it use to be way worse with trifecta. yes it comes out thick, but I am also dropping a ton of fuel. I just wish second gear didn't bog in that race. it was real close and I cant wait to run him again. the distance gain when my car bogged was about the same distance I lost by. I also think I need to bleed the clutch again kevin. maybe sometime we can do that and get rid of those codes. if it stays nice out I may keep my car out this week. besides that sean is whinning, I guess I better run him to shut him up. I still think the end result will be the same as the last 100.

yes sir second was giving me issues all night. in that run i shifted into 2nd around 6000 rpm, i dont know exactly what caused the bog. it seem to drop fine into second but as soon as i mashed the gas it did not like me. i have a issue that has plagued this car since i have owned it. after i am running for about 1 hour the car will out of the blue freak out and crap a bunch of codes. these codes are always stuff of non importance. stuff i already know ie rear o2 delete. with hpt we are able to turn those off but the car will still do the freak out thing. then 2 mins after the car usually run like a top. well this happened just before this race as we were parked on the road. unfortunately i didnt have enough time for the car to clear itself. i contribute this to the bog. i have no clue what sensor is on its way out that causes this freak out dealio, its sure taking its time on crapping out too.

every race i tried after this against jon i just couldnt get it into 2nd. i assume i need to bleed the clutch a bit and i think your right tjay. i most likely need a new roll pin.

My car is a temperamental bitch at times too Mark so don't feel too bad. One time this year I was logging and at like 6500rpm the car shut right down like I blew a charge pipe. Looking at the log after it looks like the car shut completely off for a split second. No codes. Couldn't explain it.

All of our cars are prissy bitches at times! Mine now has fuel pressure through the roof. Made a slight change to the FPR and it went really high, lowered it way down and it keeps climbing. Turned it all the way down and up and then back to normal in case it was sticking so I'll see what its doing meow.

actually i feel great about it. i was happy with how it responded after it did its thing. i was able to close the gap a bit after the filming stopped. i thought he should have beat me by more even without the issue with the car. i think his is a lightly modded hpt tuned lnf. real cool guy and i would race him any time again. all i know is when it freaked out jon said i crapped out a ton of smoke. so thick he could see it in the dark is what he told me.

the runs we started with jon where i couldnt get it into second was kind of surprising. we would line up and to my surprise at the end of first we were even or i was slightly ahead. shift and nooooooo gooooooo. so i would end up chewing on the rubber chunks as jon would pass me. that truck is redonkulous hahahahaha, if he got traction it would be bad a$$ fast. the 2 of us running together is stupid loud hahahahahahaha. we all had a great time.

Well Mark sure we can bleed your clutch again sometime no problem. Why didn't you tell me those codes came up when we parked I had my laptop and cable with me. Aaron has an SRI, catless DP, muffler delete and HPT. I uploaded the Mark vs Jon vids too but didn't post them so if you go to my photo bucket and look they're in there. Blue earlier on in the day I blew my hot pipe coupler off and that was pretty scary sounding luckily I was close to home so I limped it back and cleaned up the coupler and pipe and no problems since. Taylor how was drag racing sat?
