hahahahahahahahahhahahhahahaahaha. i knew it! i have heard of said turbo swap for quite some time. better yet, cant wait to see the day it happens. it wont be this year or the next one i bet. hahahahaha the truck will be the focus i am sure. hahahaha all you need to do jon is make it hook up. then start making it faster. big wide sticky tires, and a much better suspension is all you need and that truck will go.
na you need a better suspension, you need to get your whole center of gravity lower. then stiffen the rear and raise the front ( little bit) for less weight transfer upon acceleration. essentially you want it at a level pitch. as for tire size i would run a min of 295's in the rear, if not 315's all day long. you can run ET's or 555's depending how sticky you want. i would go with like the 555R.
You'll want to keep the rear soft to allow weight transfer in a RWD platform. And a NT555R or R888 like I have are great for the street while still maintaining streetability for different weather conditions (Not snow of course lol).
The rear is too stiff as it is. You don't need to raise the front end like a 60's car. Lowering it would solve some of the handling and body roll but not traction. If I wanted traction, id just drop a 3/4 inch plate steel in the back for weight and go
honestly sam is getting better times with a stiffer rear to his car then he got with a softer rear boys. i think there comes a certain amount of torque that it will sink the rear end into the ground no mater how stiff it is with sticky tires. thus with a stiffer rear it will hold it into a good range when launching. where as a softer rear will go to far and over rotate in the weight transfer.
i actually think the steel plate is a good idea jon.

Plus my truck and sammi's car are 2 completley different things as far a weight distribution goes. His is a drag car and mines a street truck. His has a lower center of gravity and a better weight distribution than my truck. He has more weight over the rear than my truck..... and so on and so forth

for the final time jon Sammy's car is not a drag car it is a street setup. there is no roll cage. i don't base my suggestion just on his car as i know many more that are under 10 seconds, including a truck that is much larger and faster then you. you are just to stubborn and not open to suggestion to what it will take to plant your rear tires. because you think you know everything there is to know. when really you don't. you have also took what I said out of context and have some wild imagination to what I mean.
You can call me ignorant and stubborn all you want but it doesn't change the fact that rwd setups are fundamentally the same but trucks and cars react differently as well as every car reacts differently to weight transfer and traction. Not everyone will have the same problem.

I am open to suggestions but I figure most of the stuff out on my own and do what I think is right for my vehicle. If that costs me more money than doing it the same way as someone else suggests then that's what I'll do.

I've looked up some options for Jon's truck a 4 link would have to be totally custom so I looked into Jon's other plan and I think it's the best option other than frame mods and prob a fuel cell

kev, can you email me that excel sheet we worked off of last time for my car.. i think it reverted, WOT its at 12.5 and at idle its tetering around 10....? im sure we fixed that..
