yah well I got the phone call this AM and they wont even repair it because they say it is not leaking. They say its just "Sweating". This is why people dont buy GM vehicles, Im getting oil spots on the ground and clear staining all around the axle and down the transmision case and they says it not leaking so can not repair till it gets worse. So lets wait till it completely goes on the highway then i screw the tranny- then they will say, sorry not covered because you ran it out of oil.

Guess i will just fix it myself.

Then you wonder why GM had to go bankrupt to stay in business.

Hmm.... I should have warned you.... Oh wait, I did.

That sucks man. Keep us posted on what happens with the dealership. Nail them to the WALL. And don't back down.

If you need any help, let me know. I got no problem making a couple service managers cry.

hahaha.......Yes you did. Well I phoned them today on it and they said everything was good when they had it and didn’t recall there being any issues....Said they could look at it tomorrow if I wanted. So I tore it apart tonight looked at everything and put it back together--Think the converter box for the stock harness must have got screwed up with something that was done( they serviced the car when it was there to) Oh well got it all fixed now. As for the seal just going to watch it and if it leaks again or shows staining they said they would replace it after talking to the shop foreman. (GSL is where this was- I have had mixed experiences with them but have gone to other places and nobody else is better so far so stick with them)

That's good to hear. I've never dealt with GSL, but i don't have a high opinion of any dealership to begin with until someone changes my mind. Definitely keep an eye on that leak; you don't want the fluid level to drop much it could cause you some real problems. Make sure you stay the HELL away from JACK CARTER at all costs. Shaw GMC has been kinda sorta ok for me, but really no better from any other GSM (Generally Shitty Motors) outfit. If I absolutely had to go anywhere, at this point it would probably be ****. But thats mostly just cuz of Corea. And If I'm gonna trust anyone, thats who it would be.

did they ask you if you want sand in the vaseline first. that's alright they gave me $1000 for a 99 sunfire 2.2l with over $15000 worth of aftermarket parts on it. that was when i bought the balt. i would'nt even sold my wheels for that, but i kinda needed to sell it at that time. that car was getting old anyway, and the balt is a much better car.

fenders are cool, but they are fiberglass that means you will need to finish them real good. they are not the greatest finish on them.

Hey Mark, do you happen to know how to remove the leftovers from peeled off rear window tint? We've tried goo gone, and it doesn't seem to work...

i would have to see it to let you know the best way. if the tint layer is a gone and it is just glue then windex and a single edge razor blade. rear window is diff. due to the defrost lines. still can use a razor just don't clip the line. if that doesn't work let me know.

Maybe I can get you to take a look at it sometime.

On that note, we haven't all met up on a fri or sat night at all yet this summer. We should all get together soon at Timmys or something.

I had thought about that, but it's the long weekend; and I think most will be out of town.

Either way, I'll be there, assuming I can get the car put back together in time.

I know for a fact that TJay is outta town. Not sure about everybody else. You wanna put up a regional thread for it or should I?

Yeah, we'll plan for the following weekend, but I still wanna go down this sat, as I haven't been out in a while.

Mark, if you're still down, lets do it. If its just the two of us, we can go for a beer or something, get the hell out of rice alley.
