gm parts department should be ashamed of themselves for what they try and sell parts for.

Crate engine depot price for throw out bearing $75, parts from calgary parts department at dealership $325
Fly Wheel: $145, gm $350+

I stopped pricing out then, i dont mind paying a bit more but 4x as much is absolutely absurd

Yeah, its pathetic. I've often wanted to tell them straight up on the phone when I call that hey, I can get the same part from a us dealership for half that price even including the shipping. If everyone knew what we knew, their parts dept's would go out of business all by themselves.

Alright I apologize for the blur. I forgot to change one of my settings so it was focusing on one object and one object only

this is how it was (off the record) explained to me quite some time ago;
GM-Canada has to buy any parts from GM-USA;
the dealer putting in the request has to get them from GM-Canada, who bought from GM-USA;
This all means that some sorry sap (like myself) goes to a GM dealers parts department, we have to:
Pay markup from the dealer, who was charged markup from GM-Canada, who was charged markup from GM-USA.

make sense?

this is why it's cheaper to buy aftermarket or directly from a stateside dealer (like CED or GMpartsdirect)...

a throwout bearing should be available via the aftermarket - and your flywheel should be machinable - unless I'm missing something.

throw out bearing from lnf is the best one available- nobody makes them on aftermarket as gms are the best

flywheel- for cost of machining and also chance of hairline fractures or permanent heat damage im not going to put a 800 dollar clutch on a used flywheel.
