**** man.. you are definately screwed... I got caught in the thanksgivin snowstorm last year with my summers (winter setup was backordered a couple weeks) It wasnt fun at all... no grip or control whatsoever... Hope you got another vehicle to get around in

this is maybe the third winter I've had dedicated tires for;
otherwise I've pretty much run BFG Radial TA's year round on either the Firebird or Grand Am;
I think it was in winter 2006/2007 that while giving a coworker a ride to be picked up elsewhere that I got he; "honey, I think you need some winter tires" moment...

Before that point spinning tires was all about fun - but at that exact moment, I was barely moving, while pseudo-blazing both tires... she had a point.

Since doing winter tires, this will be my first w/o studded winter's - assuming I keep driving the Cobalt.

 

I just went downstairs to get a coffee, and stoped to look outside (towards the car) when a funny thought occured to me;
last year at this time my car was languishing in some dealers parking lot... (thankfully)
