I went to Pick N Pull to find bits to make a socket... iirc, I ended up taking apart, and soldering to a bulb base;
I have never heard of anyone doing this ~ rather some of the more complete kits offer a plug like the one I made (a plug which i couldn't source locally btw)

and there's another junkyard called allan and sons that has some cobalts in stock.

Do you remember my comment about parts store types? (that you understandably didn't like!)
Yeah, AV was the VERY first place I looked...
I looked through everything they had (Barlow) in the appropiate aisle... and then some...
then asked a couple epole working there if they knew of any such connector...
I then went to auto-temp air & sound - they guy knew exactly what I meant, but didn't have spares to sell me (only had them in complete HID conversion kits)...
I then went to the ATA&S warehouse (not open to the public, I knew of it only because of the shop I used to work at); they told me that they were pretty sure they knew what i was talking about, but were unaware of if I could buy the connector by its self...

so i am missing lots lately, its almost to much info at once.... welcome kripple...
jonathan, on a side note you remember what i talked about to you the other day.... well its almost 100% for sure, and the car will stay with me..... so next time you have a torque dampener for cheap, make the **** sure you offer it to me.... lol god nobody ever thinks of me when they have cheap parts i would buy.... also stg 3 should be in the car by april may....hahahaahhahhaah

Graham tells me it's sold... but last time I checked I still had it in the front entrance closet
I have a buddy who gave me a standing offer for stuff to get bead/sandblasted... I was thinking of getting the brackets blasted ~ but they might clean up with some reducer...
So you had a run in with my brother on DF...
he tells me he gave you the thumbs up...

omg i dont think this site made me laugh so hard in while..... mmmm well it dont matter who's dampener i get but i do need one.... if yours is sold jon i will buy dude's from him....just pm me a price and i will buy it..... as you may have guessed it was graham who told me.... i did some decals for him yesterday... now of coarse if any of you need some decals or rock guard or tint on frt windows we can workout a trade.... but you guys keep bidding each other down.... pretty soon you be given me a part and money, just to get it out of your hands... hahhaahahahahahahahahahhahaha
actually it is a good thing i am keeping the car... it was a must or it was no deal.... i dont remember any other car i have owned that makes me smile so damn much... plus the production numbers are very favorible on it too....
i am going to get the zzp stg 3 with a 2.7 i think tjay maybe if all goes right i might kick in the extra money for the stg 3 intercooler too.... now i have a question with that tho? is it worth the extra money for the stg3 intercooler over the base intercooler they offer? then when i put it in i will need to tune in the worst way..... i hope either hp tuner situation comes clearer by then... whether pickles is able too, or helps you do it, i am fine with that.... or i will have to consider the other option which isnt my first choice.... then i will start hinting to sammy about some wheels.... lol nitrous isnt in the plans this year maybe next.... more support mods will be more important like dual bypass and option b....
i actually came across your bros jonathan? hahhahah i didnt even noticed lol..... sorry i hope i didnt cut him off or something? lol i have been a lil spirited in my driving lately....

Also, my ZZP tune bounces hard with 60's. Can't wait for a tune either haha.
Joel
sorry i meant he not intercooler... did you get the st3 he? or just the base one? ya not fond of the logo, rather that it didnt have it.... i am not going to waste my time with thier tune.... so whats the best option about the belt? i would think a shorten belt is better then idle tensioner....

Graham told me Kris wanted it, but it didn't come up when he popped by yesterday.
Mind you I haven't read up on the ZZP stage3... but I thought you were going Trifecta Stage3??

A lot of people wonder why Stage Three is what it is and why we stopped there. The answer is that Stage Three pushes certain production engine components to their limit. Going any farther with Stage Three, or adding more modifications to Stage Three, would put us at a horsepower level that would require internal engine upgrades.
For example, the piston (specifically the second ring) in the LSJ 2.0L Supercharged ECOtec engine can not hold any more than 310 horsepower. This is one of the reasons the Stage Three PCM allows for only a 50 shot of nitrous. Once you have the Stage Three 76-mm pulley and a 50-shot, youre maxed out. Anything more would require upgraded pistons and rings. Otherwise, youd see cylinder pressures that could ruin your piston rings and potentially more. This also creates crank case pressure high enough to blow out the dipstick with extended high rpm use.
The Stage Three kit also puts you at the limit of the fuel injectors. With Stage Three, you need to be extra careful about keeping your fuel system (fuel filter, fuel pump, injectors, etc.) well maintained because even a minor issue could cause a lean condition. If you work through our rule of thumb fuel injector calculation tool at 310 horsepower supercharged, you get a required flow of 58 lbs/hr. The production injectors flow 55-60 lbs/hr. As you can see, youre right at the limit with Stage Three.
Many of you wonder why the Stage Three 76-mm pulley is the smallest pulley we offer. The reason is heat. Each incrementally smaller pulley generates more heat, and heat is bad for power. The Stage Three kit includes a two-pass intercooler endplate and recommends a second surge tank to mediate heat build-up. If we were to go to an even smaller pulley, wed be getting into heat generation that would require things like an exhaust ported head and an ice box.
Thats not a complete list of production parts that have reached their limit with Stage Three, but I think you get the idea. There is some reasoning behind our Stage Three kit!
A couple of additional things I want to point out: first, the Stage Three PCM does allow you to push the production valve springs beyond their limit. Stage Three includes the functionality to adjust the rev limiter up to 8000 rpm. However, the engine wont rev reliably above 7000 rpm. If you want to take full advantage of the high-rpm feature, we suggest upgrading valve springs (at 7000 rpm) and going to neutral balance shafts (at 7500 rpm). Second, the Stage Three kit is off-highway only and has not been emissions certified.
Stage Three includes some features that are not streetable. As our way of emphasizing off-highway use only, the Stage Three PCM will disable your cars air-conditioner. Stage One and Stage Two are street legal and plenty of fun. See your GM Performance Parts dealer for parts and availability and check out flickr for more pictures of the parts included in the kits.
