lol it's the truck. I can't go full throttle without it falling on it's face and backfiring and popping. feels like the computer is pulling timing or something like that

 

hmm.... even on the stock memcal, with the throttlebody - it shouldn't do that.

how is it before you go full throttle?

keep in mind your throttlebody is your major liimting factor...

can you drive 3/4 throttle ok?

 

up to half is okay. 3/4 it starts to back fire and cough

 

I got a custom burned chip I should install and see if that solves it

 

why didn't you install that yet?

Well he recommends 18 psi fuel pressure. Mines at 14. I'll install it tomorrow while I'm installing my new cluster

 

upping the fuel pressure can overclock the injector - what does your stock fuel pump put out?

if your factory pump puts out enough pressure you might be able to use an aftermaret fuel pressure regulator...

 

I have an aftermarket 255 lph pump that I'm putting in this winter. I don't know what the stock pump puts out but I do have an adjustable TBI regulator cap that I could put on at the same time

 

Installed the chip this morning and it's like a whole new truck! Lol I'll the the adjustable TBI fuel cap this afternoon when I'm installing my cluster!
