hmmm. i know when i did a cluster swap in my 91 shadow it had to be from the same motor 2 because the cluster was setup for certain rpm ranges and such. could be the same problem

ya only thing i can think of. either that or a faulty gauge. i know with my shadow the speedo wouldn't go all the way to zero and the tach wouldn't read the rpm's properly. is that what yours is doing?

no gauges move when I connect the negative cable to the battery. I'm thinking that I need to repin my stock connector
