I don't think you realize how hard it is to get decent traction in these cars. I'm not talking about 1.9 60ft's either. I'm talking about real traction.

yeah, but they will take the top 3 and hopefully the top 5. that i am pretty much sure of. maxim has started bringing it, now just wait for some other turbo lsj's to hit the track this year... I know im for 11.90's

I will prove you wrong. I may be stressing the utter hell out of the stocker, but I will get there. I plan on running slicks, every traction mod I can think of, and will be fully bolted on. I am running 13.0@109 on just a tune right now. So, knock off half a second for the slicks, and I would say half a second from the extra power, and I should be down there. I will be a 12.2, that I will absolutely guarantee.

My 13.0@109 is with a 2.2 60'. If I get a 1.9 (praying for a 1.8), that will knock off at least half a second, plus, more power, optimized gearing from the taller slicks, and i think i got it.

 

You going to need 50 or more whp to pull an 11.90. and good luck on the 1.80

 

That will be easy. I mean... I figured out I am pushing around (no dyno numbers yet) 275-280 to the wheels, on the conservative side, on the more optimistic side, I am 290-295, and thats just a tune. Everything else is stock. So, I think its possible. With my end goal being 350 whp on the stock turbo, I think 11.90's are possible.

BUT... we will see. the car is gonna end up being a prototype ***** most of the season, so its gonna be a short season this year for me. I will promise a 12.5 for sure. 12.2 hopefully, and 11.90 maybe, lol. I'm ready to represent the LNF crowd.

 

I don't think you will see 11.90's on the stock turbo without a shot of nitrous. I would love to see it happen though!

 

I would love to see a shot of nitrous... but I would also like to NOT see the internals of my engine laying on the track.

 

Keep it under a 75 and I think you will be just fine...

 

Mmmmmm... I don't wanna push that just yet. I don't have the money to fix it if I blow it, so it will wait. Maybe next year.

Thanks man! I still gotta work on that 60', and I think ill be down with you. I must admit, I have a pretty good tune, and I would like to thank Alex (overbooster), terminator 2, and Matt for teaching me everything I know about tuning, and helping me out when I need it.
