defininitly (spelling) true. I hit forth like 300 foot before the end of the quarter, I dont really have a choice but to hit forth. Thats why I am having such a hard time to try and find the right tire for the track.

Get HPtuners and raise your rev limit to 7000 rpm. I raised mine to 6600 in each gear but third, where I raised it to 7k. 6600 is far enough, because that is when our turbo runs out of breathe, but it still nets a quicker time not having to shift to 4th. I trap at about 6700-6800 every time with trap speeds of 110 normally.

I tried that and my car falls on its face over 6300. I have trapped 113 is the highest and thats shifting at 6100-6200.

You may not see a huge difference in your trap speeds from raising it, but you will see a change in your ET. I saw about a .2 sec drop.

I have the Trifecta tune and I think the limiter is at 7000 so I will try it once and see what happens.

The track was pretty well prepped last week, but I launched at about 2500 rpms and the car didnt spin first at all so I NLSed to second and it spun, so dont do that, and I ran a 13.11 at 112 with a 2.17 60. tires at 28 psi. Once you get there just play around with it, never do the same thing twice.

I launch at 3300-3500, and dont ever NLS to 2nd. too bad you are trifecta tuned, because you could lower your LC to w/e you wanna launch at, and it would be so much easier. BUT... nothing a steady foot can't replace. Stock tires I run at 22-24 psi, and have noticed a good difference in 60' times from the decrease. I do spin in 1st, but not a whole lot, and i don't usually let off the gas, I just let the car catch up with the tires.

Other than that... its all learning your car. If this is your first time to the track, I wouldn't be so optimistic about your times. It took me a while to learn what my car liked, and what it didn't. I have ran 13.0@109, and I am solely tuned, so if you have a couple bolt ons I guess you will prolly see that low. Good luck to ya!

What table are you lowering you launch control on? Are you just setting the rev limiter lower in neutral?

I am going to look like an ass at the track next time... I am just going to be using it as a place to practice my launch and to do legal third gear pulls. It's going to be funny seeing someone do a two step launch, NLS into 2nd, let off, short shift into 3rd and do a 3000-7000rpm pull in 3rd down the track. People are going to be like "what the ****?". But, it is test and tune... so **** it.

People do it all the time at my test and tunes. Hell... one guy made an idle run past the 1/8th mi, then hammered it to the 1/4... granted, he still ran an 8 second 1/4 mi, and was in a top fuel rail car, lol.

IDK if it limits wheelspin... I didnt know the stock one was supposed to, lol.

i wouldn't really advise using that neutral rev limiter. that is fuel cut

My AFR stays in its limits then. Actually, doesn't even budge from the idle AFR, stayin a consistent 14.57. Its just like our stock launch control.

I am leaning towards the rev limiter being either solely spark, or both spark and fuel, because the AFR doesn't fluctuate, and the timing jumps around alot.

I haven't seen any, but I am never outside my car when it is being used. I do have quite a good collection of carbon, but I had that before using this as LC... so IDK.

Also... would limiting straps help prevent wheel hop? And to the guy that was having them made, how long were they?

How about 26.05's?? It def helps. I don't have to shift 4th to go 114.

I might go to the track again tomorow. Hopefully new PB!!!

riiiiiiiiight

and limiting straps don't stop wheel hop.

Maxim X, what kind of gearing do you have to be topping out at 114 on 26" tall tires.
