2009 LSJ/LNF Throwdown Competition
i see what you are getting at, but it seems limiting spring movement would be the best bet
Did you not read where I typed limiting straps earlier? The limiting straps along with a softer spring/strut combo will help. You can't just do straps and expect to get the most out of it. Spring rate is the most important.
Drag bags in the rear would be a start though, would it not? Basically, i am looking to drop one tenth off my 60', and don't have a whole lot of budget to work with at the moment. I could do $80 if I could shave that off...
why even swap the system out if you are going to strap it? i cant find a good way of doing this right now, ive been under the car looking

You need some movement in the front suspension. You can't just strap it down and be good to go.
I just got 4 spring boosters... gonna give that a shot.
Now... this may be a nubile question to ask, but would we benefit at all from disconnecting the sway bar? I know marcus was mentioning we would benefit from a softer front setup, and this would give us a softer front, would it not?

But it's not preventing it either. The mounting location for the front sway bar is on top of the rear section of the subframe. Think physics 101 and leverage. However, I cannot think of a way to overcome this problem. So, take it for what it's worth. You are right though. You don't want to disconnect the front sway bar because it does assist in reducing longitudinal movement of the drivewheels.
But, would it not make the front end softer? I'm just thinking, and you had mentioned that a softer front, stiffer rear would be beneficial.
I have limiting straps on my car, there kind of a pain to put on and take off but next track day(this friday) I will take pics. It was not hard to do at all.
heres the video of mine in case ralli wants to put it up on the list. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLkzFKhKxUE
