And ralli I guess I don't see where you come up with this "small tires are better theory". I'm going to assume you car makes all of like 250 ft.lbs. or something. The slicks you run are made for little torqueless Hondas and such. You can fit a 26 x 10.5 slick under your car even with it lowered. If those bigger tires are slowing you down then you aren't making enough power and I understand where you are coming from by needing smaller tires. But every other post I see you make about slick sizing points towards this puny little slick size that wouldn't hold the power of my Cavalier even. Just becuause it works for you doesn't mean it's the right way. Throw a Harrop and some nitrous on your car and try to launch on those baby tires. I bet your 60s will be slower than they would with the right size tire on there.
Actually with 26" tall tires he could make it close to 120 in third with a 7200 rpm rev limiter.

Wish we could know what their mods were... Maybe when you post up your slips just post up your mods? I can't wait till mines broke in so I can hit the track... I had a 07 honda civic si coupe and went 14.3 at 98 with a 2.20 60' on street tires with an intake and catback.
You know what's weird. I've got into arguments with people of how fast the car goes in certain gears. when I was revving to 7 I could only get 105-106 out of it and others were saying they could go closer to 110. Maybe the G85 trans are different from the open dif?? I bought the car new and i haven't replaced the trans or anything.

My best run (first time at the track - 3,000 miles on her) was 13.82 @ 105.
Stock - btw
right, so a 16.42@104 AFTER lighting up the tires through first. slipping all of second, letting off and practically stopping around the 330 mark so it could grab, and then getting back on it. and still trapping 104 means nothing to you guys??

so then really, how did you hop and i didn't??? same mounts, and obviously they can't be installed differently.

what were you running. cause with those mounts, it doesn't really matter lol. if you want to spin, keep 'em aired up. if you want to grab, lower 'em
oh well. i've still got a nice chunk of change to spend to get this car done
