The car blew up before the 60' and still hasn't made it down the track. J/K, he might still be at the track.
Post some damn times, Please!!!

Lots of wheelspin!
Wheres the times , hopefully ya got some good clean passes man so we can see what the biotch ran .
So my lowest time was a 14.2 at 99mph!
Want to know something even worse? A 14.8 at 101mph!
Wheelspin KILLED me. I didn't have a 60' lower then 2.4 and that was WITH slicks. I really am quite furious with this car. I unfortuntely didn't get to use the nitrous because apparently my clutch is not fully broken in yet. Every time I tried to spray even the first stage the engine would just rev up quickly and make a mad dash towards the rev limiter. I am quite upset with this car. So I have a few options in mind. Sell the car, trade the car,
OR
Go all out. By all out I mean new pistons, MS-II full standalone, Quaife and wider slicks/stiffer rear springs to keep more weight towards the front (hence more traction). This would be timely and costly. So I'm not quite sure yet. I'm going to go dealership hunting today and if no one will give me decent money for my car for what I want there then I guess I'm stuck with it.
By the way, my car with me in it weighs 3,310 pounds. That probably doesn't help either. I have other slips but those were the only interesting ones to me. I wish I could have sprayed, but it was not having that at all.

But we have problems with the rev limiter and shifting on time with a .038 jet and stock clutch in 1st gear, I can't speak for the SPEC 3 but I doubt it was because it wasn't burned in yet. The SPEC 3 is a really tight clutch and I doubt it was slipping. Definitely tire spin was the culprit. What size slick? 2.4X short times are horrible for slicks. Tire pressure? Wider tire won't do as much good as a taller tire would just for reference. Launch RPM? 14.2 was on the juice or no? You say you're furious with the car, but did the car set itself up? Sounds like to me you need to re-evaluate your setup/combination.

I am in collaboration with a dealership right now (Who is providing me an FSM) to devise a sort of launch control system (One that mimicks GM's torque management setup) to keep low end power at a minimum when engaged. I'm sure this process is going to be rather lengthy. We'll see.

I really am beginning to wonder that. If the Intense kit does anything for the car's top end? I know it pulls beautifully down low and beginning of mid range. Maybe the RedLine gets stuck with crap PCM programming that doesn't want to accept the modified MAF signal. It really wouldn't surprise me one bit that GM would screw the Saturns over like that.

Than I was like I'll just scold the guy for running such lack luster times even off the bottle with his intense stage 3 kit and slicks, but then again the track is a funny place. So its what ever man i guess just try harder next time. But I will say this, these horrible times at the track from most of us cobalt and redline owners have got to stop. No reason why with just a pulley and tires the car shouldn't beable to break into the 13's easier. I'll with hold from talking smack since even I haven't been able to go to the track yet on my new setup. But if I can't pull high-mid 13's on mud and snow tires than this cars gotta go. I have 250+ wheel that ***** unexcusable.
how bout you and the car lose weight
. Being 33XX pounds doesnt help a bit, if you could lose 300 pounds and lower your 60' , youll be mid 13's. Of course i am going by the assumption that 100 lbs= .1 sec off ur et and for every .1 sec you take off your 60'=.2 secs off your et. Plus, if your worried about your track times so much, why would you have 200 pounds of stereo equipment in the first place?
