Possibly winter gas, I honestly don't think there is anything wrong with the car itself... Unless your clutch is slipping.

Makes me feel better about running 14.00 @100-102 on just stage 2 and cut air box, then dropping down to a 2.85 and adding a header running constant 14.3-14.4@103-105.

Modding a FWD car is allot like pissing in the wind or trying to run up a a escalator that’s moving the opposite direction. My 8th mile is a joke, i eather **** up the launch or blow the tires off the car on the 1-2 shift.

looks like traction issues, Your 8th and 1/4 et are almost the same as before ,but you gaind almos 4mph and in the 8th and 3mph in the 1/4 wich means traction.

I know the TC builds a lot of TQ down low , you may be better off not launching the car, maybe slip the clutch alittle with modriate rpm just to get off the off the line.

If my clutch is slipping does my rpms go up and traction control alerts me saying low traction. Or will this happen in both clutch and wheel spin?

I'm gonna go out here in a few to try a 50-5th gear, 40-4th gear, and 30-3rd gear WOT pull to see if I'm having clutch slipping.

I'm also gonna see how much I wheel spin in second gear

turn off traction control and floor it at 60. see if the rpms jump up.

Also things to consider, my car stock:

with **** low quality fuel out of town, filled up

VS

high quality 94 octane, quarter tank

Feels like a completely different car.

Okay all you guys saying "driver mod" you guys are partially right. I spoke with Vince and he told me exactly what's going on from my datalogs.

There's an obvious skill issue here, but it's also altitude.

Here's what Vince had to say

The BARO sensor from the log says you’re at 81kPa barometric pressure – that’s pretty low, you must be at some altitude

The reason your car is trapping low and not picking up much power is because there is no air where you’re at.

From the factory, GM sets these cars up to make a certain amount of power at the wheels, and gives wide discretion to the turbocharger to adjust to meet these targets.

This means the car will make 260HP at sea level and 260HP at high altitude simply by modulating the amount of boost from the turbo.

Because of your altitude, the turbocharger may be working close to its limit just to make 260HP.

In custom tuning, we change the rule to say “Make x amount of boost all the time, regardless of how much power that is.” This results in spectacular gains at sea level, where the turbocharger is relied on much less, but the higher you go, the less of a difference in power you will see because the stock tune is using the turbo much more.

The logs show you are hitting 100% turbine speed. I can’t make the ECM make the turbo spin any faster than it already is. There’s a good chance it’s very close to spinning that fast even on the stock tune due to your elevation. So, when people say you should be trapping 106-110MPH, they are correct – IF you are at low elevation. And you would.

Well, for comparison sake, tuned Cobalt SS cars will make up to 260kPa of absolute manifold pressure at sea level. The highest spike is 235kPa at your altitude and sustained looks more like 220kPa.
So basically my car isn't gonna be as good as yours up here, but it's performing fine. The low 2.5 60' is all poor skill.

We all start somewhere.

Good info there. Well just keep at it. Try slipping the clutch just a bit at 3000 see what that gets you. and go full throttle as soon as possible w/out frying tire. For me if i got wheel hop that was letting the clutch go too quick. Stock mounts are hard to master sometimes. Poly inserts FTW
