You'ze got screwed!

I ran a 13.9 @106 on a ST2 w/2.9 (231hp, 219tq)

And I had approximately 260fwhp with my 2.8, 60's, h/e, midlength header/dp combo, exhaust, and tune. (I say approx. because it was pulling timing up top because of a bad water pump -- actual recorded dyno was 249)

You really need to get a good tune. Even a "safe" tune should net better numbers than those. I had a 2.95" pulley, GMPP exhaust and header and a dual pass IC and was putting down 235 whp with a DD "safe" tune and could hit 14 consistantly at the track.

Tune and practice maybe help. I ran crappy times first time at the track with my turbo swap. Also poor tires will only hurt your times.

This is coming to you as my first post. Drag racing is a violent animal that is hardly understood but widely tampered with. Drag racing is 10% car and 90% driver. I have seen 500hp cars lose to 150hp Civics. With that being said, I can tell you (due to my 20 years of racing experience) that your numbers are spot on for whomever was driving. Granted your mph is quite low (1/8 and 1/4) and even with a 1.9 short, you would only be running a 14.4 ET. What tires did you run? What psi? How much weight was in the car? Were you powershifting? What was your launch rpm? Believe it or not, weight is the leading killer of good times at the track. But without traction, hp means nothing.

Agreed. Even if he is/was a crappy driver, he should have still trapped close to 100mph. The only way he could have trapped that low with his mods is either a poor tune or he short shifted every gear.

it was raining, 100* air temp and only 114* track temp?

It had just rained the day before and a lot of roads were still flooded. I had to detour off I29 just to get to KC. The humidity was pretty damn high.

Actually, 100% humidity is when the atmosphere is holding the maximum amount of water it can. At this point, fog and dew start to form. If that air were too cool further, then it could not hold that moisture in vapor, and it would precipitate out as rain.

Rain NORMALLY results from 100% humidity, but not all the time. When I was stationed in Guam, we would see 100% humidity all the time and yet not get rain.

But yes, I was exgerrating slightly about the weather on my track day when I was stock.
