About a month ago it rained pretty bad and I never got the chance to take off CAI until I got home. My filter was soaked. I just put it in front of my portable heater for about an hour and it dried quickly. For the past few weeks I had it on SRI. It seems so much louder and it feels a little more powerful than the CAI. I seriously think that an intake is the 100% best mod you could do to a 2.2. Thanks again!
yeah I remember running my CAI before I had my exhaust.

The sound of my engine was louder than my friends Ford Probe with a huge ass cannon on it.

That's awesome. It is loud as hell though. Now I got my wheels chirping too! I'll really be turning heads. I'll be getting some video soon. Spring break is next week for me, so I'll have time.

You should get some tuning done since you have an '07

That's something I would like to do later on when I get enough money but I haven't heard anything specific about it for the '07s. All I hear from everybody is "the 07's have different computers than the older Cobalts... so it can be tuned." Nothing about anybody actually doing and HP Tuners don't say if they support it on their website. I believe it can be tuned, but I don't know how to go about doing it.

So what would I need to get this thing tuned? I don't have the same computer as the SS/SC, do I?

I'm pretty sure I know what you're talking about. I've had that sound a couple of times too, if you ask me, I think it's the throttle body closing, and the air being sucked in by the engine still, thats why it's kind of a loud sucking noise

Unfortunately no, that would be too righteously cool. You have to turn off your engine, change the settings, and start your engine with the setting you would like to use.

Which is way cooler than the autotrans interceptor, where you would have to open the hood to change settings. The B&M control box is mounted up front with you.
Not a biggie. I usually have people that want to race follow me out to an out of the way 1/2 stretch of road off the interstate. Once I get out there, I just turn off the engine, click the switch, talk for a second, and turn it back on.

... Thought this was the B&M thread -- not the shamelessly plug your for sale **** thread. I could've been wrong, though.

If i would have known about this i would have done it with out anyones review on the product. i tried doing a cam swap on my own and that ended up costing me 4,296 in parts and labor to get my car running again, but at least i got all the internals installed to get me ready for a turbo

I think ill pick this up when i get back from being out to sea.

I pu this on my car awhile back. I liked being able to discretely turn it off and on. Because my girlfriend would BITCH if she found out I did it. Last night I accidentally forgot to turn it off. Everytime My car would shift she would be like
"Ohmygod Do you hear that? Your transmission sounds so rough. I think you've messed it up."
"Huh? I didn't notice." (**** **** ****, click the switch off pretending to check for my insurance in the little glove box)

And that was just on the first setting. She probably would have made me pull over if it was on the second setting.
Shifts are clean, quick, and crisp, no soft shifting at all.
