Car is stuck in first.

Okay So I was driving and took the car out of first to put it in second and though it was in but when i released the clutch i was still in first. now the stick flops around and can't find any gears but the car is stuck in first. btw i have an 09 ss. Can any one tell me what the problem is.

Sounds like it may be shift linkage may have popped off

same here!

Something internally blew up! same thing wrong with mine. thank goodness for warranty ordered me brand new transmission couldnt crack open the casing because was stuck in gear. car needs to be in neutral for rebuild so chevy okd new tranny. will be getting back today had car for 2weeks they dont keep tranny in stock for SS.
