Clutch

I cant find anything that anyone says is the best clutch to run in a LNF. I hear that spec falls apart, clutchmasters sucks, exedy the pedal is really hard. I plan on ordering one i just want to get a good one.

Spec 2+ 6puck is really my choice.

What does everyone think

Thanks
MIKE

The spec stage 2+ was my choice, but it too is stiffer than stock. With any clutch you will need the ZZP adjustable rod. I went with the lightweight flywheel and a new slave cyl as well.

BTW, the Stage 2+ isn't a 6 puck, it looks like one on one side of the disc, but not the other. No chatter and holds my ~380 wtq just fine. About 2k miles on it now.

If you keep the stock flywheel, the dowel pin holes need to be drilled out to 12mm and new pins installed. Some have just popped the pins and not put in the others. The lightweight flywheel builds boost a wee bit slower and my peak load decreased about 10% from 306% to 296%% but it revs quicker. It's a tradeoff.

I have a clutch thread in the LNF tech section on my clutch with part numbers someplace.

Found it...

ZZP stage 4 with our ceramic disc, and clutch rod. You still want a good pedal and be able to NLS, then this is the setup. Stage 4 + if you don't want to purchase a pressure plate again until your over 600 lb ft of torque. Make sure you don't over clutch the car, a little slip is better than shocking the sh@! out of your tranny.

The exedy hypersingle has been great so far, near 900 miles and the firmness is something your used to in less than a week. Ive driven a couple air cooled 911's with MUCH firmer factory clutches than the exedy.
