Clutch prob

Trans wount mount flush against engine So set the trans down and pulled te pressure plate and clutch down and thought I'd see if the clutch would slide on the trans shaft so I tried it the right way first(thick part towards trans) wouldn't go on at all so I flipped it(thick part towards flywheel) and is slid right on.. So does this mean ttr sent me the wrong clutch?

This or the input shaft.

Old disc could have caused wear on your trans input shaft. New disc is to new/specification, fits snug as it should once it is slid on.

dumb question, you did lube the shaft, right?

generally, the right amount is a little tiny bit, then wipe it with a rag

Yes lubed it and it would only go on the shaft backwards
