clutch replacement

clutch replacement

so i just go my exedy clutch today. i need to know if anyone that has replaced there clutch have replaced there throw out bearing.

I replaced the throw out bearing/release cylinder its worth the extra hundred bucks so you dont have to pay labor again if something happens to it. mine was fine but i replaced it anyway.

i am doing the replacement myself, i was asking because gm says that the throw bearing is apart of the slave cylinder.

it is, it is all one part. word of advice, use an OEM part, not an aftermarket one.

also, bleed it the normal way, that vacuum method seems to ruin them.

yes its all in 1 piece its easier to do it all at once you change the flywheel that piece is right behind it.

i am not replacing the flywheel because the car does not have many miles at all, and isnt the throw out bearing infront on the pressure plate...

correct, you don't remove the flywheel to get to the throw out bearing.

M6x1.00 roughly 25mm
