Im a truck driver. I dont use clutch in my cobalt much either. Or when i had my motorcycles.
My clutches last for years in my cars.
I'm also a truck driver and a bike rider and I rarely use the clutch except when backing or at stop lights. On a bike, if you ease off the throttle slightly when upshifting you can shift it pretty smoothly so that you don't upset the suspension when going into a curve. A lot of cars and bikes set up for the strip have a ignition kill switch that kill the ignition for a millisecond so you can do full power shifts without lifting off the throttle or using the clutch.
