There are painted marks on the flywheel and pressure plate which have to be aligned to prevent severe vibration. Exedy balances the unit. Would not impact your problem at the moment.

Sit with them and speak to the tech department together.......

anyone else have any idea why 3 experianced gm tranny guys cant get this clutch on?

Probably because they don't typically put on aftermarket non-oem stuff.

PS...if money's an issue, you do know that exedy makes an oem replacement clutch for the ss that's like 300 bucks right?

Installer error. I just had mine done at a trans shop here and they had no issues with it. I gave them the manual and they used it.

That's why I never take my car near a dealership.

 

Update i got back from the dealer...

The presure plate did not fit on the shaft of tranny the hole was too small...

so either they are **** heads and wont install it for me cause its not a shitty gm part... or it actually has been made wrong...

So now i have to buy a shitty stock clutch/fly wheel and everything and wait for that one to go

if u barely have any money to your name, why and the hell would you buy an expensive clutch and then have a dealership put it in!?

one of the more expensive clutches you can buy and one of the most expensive places to install it for you but your poor....

 

Wish i lived near ya. I'd help you out and then we could go to the dealership and ridicule them for their lack of mechanical skillz.

 

Because i was at the dealer ship trying to get it warrentied, so i didnt wanna pay 2 install fees to take it somewere else...


i got the guys to talk to exedy, but apprently the exedy tech said it must be wrong
