FINALLY an option for us f35 guys. READ!
I know it's been addressed briefly once before, but I can't seem to find good information on it...
At say 80mph, what kind of RPM will you be spinning at with the 4.45, and about what speed will you top out at with say a stock-6,500RPM limiter (as a baseline)? I believe the stock ratio on the SS/TC yields very close to a flat 3,000RPM at 80mph in 5th.
I'm wondering from a roadtrip and roll run usefulness point of view, if cruising on the highway with the 4.45 means unusually high revs and/or tops out at some unusually low speed in 5th, then I'd like to take that into consideration when going over options. Every gear/tranny ratio calculator I've tried gives different answers.

I never said anything about normal streets. lol We've got other stuff available to us out here as well, and therefore I'm wondering about top speed. I've hit the speed limiter on several occasions already (Vince hadn't removed it, as he didn't believe we'd get there either. lol), and those with bigger turbos get up there in speed pretty quickly as well, so it becomes a more pertinent question at that point.

lol. thats what i thought they did, care to explain what you are trying to say about their "build" or watever they do? im not gonna lie, your build is just way too much, i understand your stuff is legit but just so much money haha. military doesnt pay me that much.
Just wondering.. do you do anything that's somewhat affordable to withstand 500hp/500tq fwd? A buddy of mine was telling me that the LSJ transmission is much better suited for this application than the stock f35.. honestly, I don't know, I haven't been on here much lately because I'm working around 80hrs/week. I am going to need a transmission solution before spring, so I need to know the truth
only thing available really in f35 builds is tighter clearences and a 4.45 final drive. There are a couple of gearsets out though, but 6 speed conversion no on wants to buy (for the f35) or the tighter ratio emco gears, which if I remember correctly was @$1800 for 3rd and 4th gear only. (plus build costs etc)
if no one will pony up the cash for those, why would any one spend the cash for a whole new gearset?
We keep blowing 3rd gear apart @500whp on rolls, not even hard shifts. Granted the powell trans infe was running did last about 2 years though with some decent abuse and a few highway runs. but we figured we'd give the f23 a shot since the cavi guys seem to have some decent luck with them in the 1/4, and at only $250 a pop, it's worth a try
