started getting the motor for ta ready at least today, should be assembled next weekend. STupid summit racing sent me the wrong honer 4"+ bore instead of the 3.5" one I ordered. oh well.

 

Just ran the balt on Jack stands with my John Powell 4.45 LSD trans installed. Its very very Quiet !!! Ill check everything again before I put the front clip back on. Time for some Steeler football now

That sucks. Well I'm driving up to get a ride in that when it's together. It'll be a nice cruise in the balt. Just don't break it before I get a chance to make the trip. lol Dropped off the trans today to get tore down so I can weld up the diff. haha things gonna be a handful at low speeds

Engaged it was. Wheel hop didn't help anything and drag racing doesn't help it either. The stock trans is weak and if shep can make us a good high hp and drag racing trans, we'd be set!

 

Im investigating a possible source for some cheap F35s. Ill know if this idea pans out in a few days. 2005 thru 2008 SAAB 9-3 2.0 turbo with F35 trans. I think they are identical to the 4.05 used in the LSJ down to the shift mechanism and cable

 

60% sure they are, just haven't grabbed one to check. not sure if with lsd though. Aren't they the same platform too?

My trans has been nothing but great, but im always worried, about it. Rather overbuild, although as long as I am on stock trans I will be on stock turbo
