GMPP to address wheel-hop?

What do you think the chances are that GMPP will provide us with anything to address the wheel-hop in the SS/SC? Maybe new engine/tranny mounts?

That would be GREAT if it is true! I'm planning on getting that DC Strut bar anyways, I just can't see how it would eliminate the wheel hop.

Anyone else with a strut bar notice an improvement/reduction in wheel hop?

Bar shouldn't make a difference, it didn't in mine and if I had to say there was any difference, I'd say the wheel hop is worse. The only noticable difference I saw with the bar is that it seemed to make the torque steer more noticable.

The tourqe braces seem to help. It would be sweet if GM made some tourqe braces

There is a brace that GM has on the Ion that bolts onto the cobalt, and they say it helps with torque steer. I am going to dig into it a little more Monday at work and see if I can find a part number. It was in my GMPP handbook.

You could use the one you have, just make sure you give it ample time to cure before putting it back on the car. I think it takes 24-48 hours for the poly to set up properly.

with your homemade mount is it loud? has to be loud.

I think the DCstrut bar helped with wheelhop a bit. but definatly makes torque steer more noticable.

if it "went away" you may not be driving your car to it's potential

If its not industrial grade poly your using, then it won't last more than a year or 2.
