So what you are saying is the reverse lockout works. Because even though i love hurst i am not going to buy this shifter if the reverse lockout is crap.

I've seen it asked, but not answered. does the hurst shifter come with any of the bushings that the B&M does?

Yeah, that sort of pisses me off, I would expected it to come with new bushings like the B&M, the first guy said it did. But I got mine today and no bushings

I will ask this again...

Has anyone that has installed the shifter and has had problems contacted and heard anything from Hurst?? I don't really feel like installing a defective product if there is a fix coming.

The Hurst shifter uses the plastic pivot socket from the stock shifter. This works fine and you will be very happy with the shifter once its installed. The only tough part is snapping the machined ball at the bottom of the shifter onto the socket of the shifter cable.

I had the Hurst shifter installed today by one of my buddies in my 07 SS/SC.
He said the same thing as others, knob was tough to get off and getting the cable back on was a bitch.

The reverse lock out works 100%. I cannot get it into reverse without lifting the ring. I check on the GM part numbers for the stock shifter and the 07 had a different part number from the 05-06 but when I checked with GM the 05-06 shifter superseded to the 07 part number so maybe there was some slight design change but I'm not sure.

As far as the Hurst goes I like it and would recommend. Finding 5th is a little different now but not a problem just got to get used to it.

Has anyone noticed that this bushing is broken when installing their shifter? I just want to make sure that it is broken and wasn't designed like that. I need to get it replaced...

Yeah, that is what I have been figuring out, I wonder where I can get that part, so far the people in the parts dept. say that you can't buy just that piece. Anyone know of a wrecked SS/SC around or a SAAB, I am pretty sure that they have the same shifter assembly?

Just got mine in the mail. Little nervous about the install. Mostly that my 2.4L doesn't have reverse lockout and the shifter does. I'm assuming that it won't matter.

You can come over to my place and I can lend a hand. I've not done the Cobalt, but it should be similar to the other front drivers I've done.
