just got the car and already a problem
other than the shifter the car feels superb. it does handle better than my civic. i also got into my first race with the balt an hour ago. against an rsx-s. i let him get the jump twice and easily caught him. im liking my new cobalt very much.
is this only when its cold out? the shifter does feel pretty stiff now that you mention it, but idk what it feels like when its warm. lol. its was 18 degrees outside. i only had a hard time gettin it into 1st when i was downshifting.
on another note, how do you know if you hit a no lift shift right? i tried it like 4 times and well the boost guage didnt go down much (like 2 psi then right back up to 15) but i didnt hear that popping noise you ppl say its supposed to make. what will happen with a failed NLS?

If the boost didn't fall much then you're doing it right. Sometimes it won't pop.
If you fail the NLS, you'll either lose boost, or hit the rev limiter, pop a bunch of times, and then lose boost.

The side shifter cable needs to be adjusted, it's no big deal to do but it's rather annoying to have to do it on a brand new car. We've seen that mostly on HHRs, but also on a few SS/TCs. If the dealership has a trouble fixing it, send us a pm and we'll send you a walk through for the fix!
