replacement clutch opinion
I did some searching, but I'm looking for opinions and experience with this one.
The stock clutch in my 07 SS is going, its slips in 3rd, 4th, and 5th. I'm looking to get the gmpp clutch upgrade kit (approx $230) and have the original flywheel resurfaced. I've got an estimate for $500 labor if I supply my own parts. The car is essentially stock though eventually I'd like to get about 275hp out of it.
My question is this:
From experience, are there better clutches to be had for a similar price, or will the gmpp clutch be perfectly adequate? Are there better clutches that can use the same flywheel? Money is TIGHT right now.
Thanks.

It's cheap and handles up to 300hp, I think?

that's the exact setup i have and it's great. smooth, easy to drive, and never slips (although i'm nowhere near 300). includes the lnf tob also if i'm not mistaken which is a good deal.

gmpp clutch is nice when driven properly. blazzin has a gmpp and over 400whp turbo setup with no slip and before that was on a nitrous setup. Is that the price joe gave you? He does work on most of the known balt owners down here and has done several motor swaps. Job is really tedious. You have to drop the subframe. And dont even try and put the trans back in by yourself unless you have a proper jack setup and have alot of patience or you are strong and have put a few in already.
