Replacing clutch... anything else i need?

I am getting a spec 2+ clutch and a spec flywheel, anything else i need? A new Slave Cylinder maybe?

yes you need a new slave cylender. it may not be leaking now but when it does you need to drop the tranny back out.

well i think its cuz if you remove it it doesnt keep a pressure seal

the seals on ur slave cylinder should be ok unless it sits out for a long time or u **** it up...shouldnt need a slave cylinder


and a throw out bearing u get from GM

yea man..i mean u may not need it yet but its one of those things u do when u replace a clutch..its like 35 bucks iirc 35 or 80 for some reason my brain cant pick which one it was but still so cheap and not worth tearing ur tranny apart 5-10k miles from now to replace

and i have to get that from a dealer? I think i am gonna do the slave too... its just i dont wanna have to deal with it later

the throw out bearing (also known as a release bearing) is part of the slave cylender, thats why you replace the slave when you change the clutch

Some time the bearing comes with clutch kit.
I would replace anything in the clutch area to be safe(Throw out bearing,slave cyc, so on..)
so you dont have to drop tranny again
