About 2 months ago my 07ss/sc went in to the dealer for some warranty work. I told them about an intermittent ticking at idle and suggested they take a look at the timing chain tesioner. They ended up replacing it, doing some other work and changing the oil. The tick went away till today when I changed the oil and put in a Purolator pureone filter. Now I know the new style tensioners works on oil pressure, so is it possible that the pureone filter just doesnt flow adequately and is cutting pressure enough to cause trouble with the tensioner? Has anyone else run into a similar issue?

use an OEM oil filter; check the part number of the tensioner that was installed make sure it was done and the correct part used...
