LSJ-T S252ET On Pump Gas
Well after a long summer with my car but I finally got it on the rollers! There's still room to grow in this tune. I went just from 11.6-12.0 afr and picked up 18whp. But kinda ran out of time to play around any further. Made 379whp/307wtq. Was hoping for a little more in the end but all and all not too disappointed considering I'm on pump gas. The long and short of my set up is:
- Gen 3 motor with DI pistons
- ZZP turbo kit with an S252ET turbo
- Ported head
- ZZP S2 cams
- ZZP 3" Catless downpipe
- ZZP 3" Exhaust
- 22 psi
- 94 pump gas. No meth

There's the thread! Not bad for 22-23 lbs on pump. Can't wait to bring some E85 up next week and play around
It's crazy that it picked up that power just from going to that little bit richer AFR from being in the shop to the AFR we run it at on the street. That's a huge gain for a small change. Makes you wonder if the DI piston design has anything to do with it, or if the gains from leaning out an actual DI car are strictly from the port of the direct injection.
Overall, I think you hit your original goal from last year of wanting to make the same power or slightly more with pump gas on less boost than your TVS race gas/meth setup. Next time it will be time to turn up the boost a bit!
Also, the car was completely remote tuned.

We pushed it to 26 lbs on 91 but were having diminishing returns with the limited advance we could run causing scary high EGT's. Haven't tried more on 94 yet, but it should have no problem being efficient at 25-26 lbs, but will still taper to 20 up top. I'm bringing him the gift of E85 next weekend to mix in so we will have some fun with some more boost then He's only at 78% duty cycle, so we have some room to throw some mixed E and boost at it for shenanigans.

Surprised you said you couldn't get more out of 26psi. I'd figure with less timing and more boost there would be more power. Surprised you didn't make an easy 400, and that it died up top that fast. I know it's only a little 52mm but still. Good results though. I should visit my best buddy in Winnipeg and meet up with you two.
