The Official Dyno Thread 2015
Thank you very much everyone
@ECaulk - Only the 2.8 pulley
Once we broke 400whp, I didn't see a need.
I'm kicking myself still for not spraying the 50 wet shot.
I think other than making near 400whp on a 2.8 pulley with a stock intake and throttle body.
The intercooler system is nearly entirely stock.
Stock manifold, stock endplate... Only have the large custom made TJolley Griffin Front Mount

400whp is obtainable on this engine with the 2.8, using the stock air box mod intake and TB.
I could of leaned out into the 12.5-12.7 AFR department to make the additional 6whp
Other option would of been to pulley down to a 2.7/2.6/2.5 or even 2.4
Best option... run a better fuel; E98, Methanol, FTW.. ETC

Near 400 on a stock intake? Damn, so there is proof it's not a limiting factor until you're way up in the power department, although its hard to say if it was the throttle body or the intake that was the limit (i'm going to lean towards mostly the throttle body, but I don't know the diameter differences or the surface area of the filter)
I tested the stocker against injen and aem, and the stocker outflowed both of them by nearly 3 lbs/min.
I should do this for the LNF, but finding funds for a day dyno rental is tough when I'm getting married in 2 months

Bro very nice!!! Super Excited to see stg 3 cam numbers. Impressive powerband curve up top, that thing is frickin screamin! Are you running ferrea VS for those Revs?
waiting on advise to pick up a new block. hopefully in about a month or so we'll have it back out.
apparently arp 625+ at 105ftlb was too much for the block to take.... only cracked on one hole, but that was enough to take out the block.
should have my car back out on the dyno in a few weeks, just waiting on ottp to send phil his damn turbo setup so we can get that thing back together

Holy hell supertechs. Didnt know they were capable of 9k. So you made peak power around 8500. ZZP's website stated you make power to 9500. How's the idle? Is it a pain to drive on the street?
ZZPs claims a lot of things
Look at the second graph, Trevor hit the button to shut the dyno off a bit early but it looks like it's still semi-climbing past 8800.
Idles normal; have it set to 950 at the moment, and you can hardly hear the cams.
It doesn't drive like stock; but it's not difficult to drive at all.

all there cam sets are rated incorrectly i barely made power to 8k with my old s2 cams
plus they use a lift measurement different then the industry standard

So they are all over the place with their ratings.
Power adders and head flow will make some of this vary a bit as well.
