Delay in ignition after swapping decks.
Delay in ignition after swapping decks.
I just swapped from an older model alpine which had a fuse wired to it, to a new kenwood that didn't have he fuse. On the alpine the yellow wire with the fuse went into the yellow wire on the Cobalt wiring harness. With the Kenwood I just wired it into the yellow wire that was separate from the wireing harness that had an orange fuse built into it.
Now when I start my car I have to turn the ignition for a good 3-4 seconds before the engine turns over. And when I shut the car off the door locks don't unlock right away now, it takes them like 3 seconds to unlock. Any ideas?

Guy you wired something in wrong, take the deck out and re-check all your connections
The door locks and the ignition are a BCM pulse I thing so try putting the old deck back in and see if its still a problem

orange wtf. dont pay attention to a fuse on the yellow wire. come units have them some dont no real reason just we. that yellow wire should be hooked up to the yellow constant on the cobalt harness. nothing in the middle no fuse holder no fuse no t tap no bullshit
