dynamat on a Cobalt 05 LS door

I pulled off the plastic moldings on the door and behold! there is a clear sheet of plastic glued onto the metal separating the wires and things that are between the molding and the metal. Should I dynamat strait onto this plastic? Or would it be better to remove this plastic sheet so I can dynamat strait to the metal?

Advice?

take th plastic off first, its better to do this while its colder, the glue will cut off nicely. take a razor and cut the black while you pull it apart.

dont cut it all off... leave some around where the door lock arm passes and the door handle bar thing passes... that way its not sticky right there...
