head unit question

where is everyone getting a switchable 12v source when installing an aftermarket deck, I have the 25$ wiring harness and it came with a extra piece of wire for power. I want to know where I can tap in for a source. anywhere under the dash would be nice. thanks for the help.

That 12v switched wired should have a fuse clip on the end. Either way, you best bet is to tap in onto either your sunroof (if you want to keep your radio on when u turn your car off...until you open the door) or your wipers fuse. The sunroof is a 15amp while the wipers run off a 10amp. Make sure you connect it to the size that doesn't have a voltage reading. If you do, you wont have the ability to have that fuse protect your head unit.
