i had been working with a company to make us a new headunit mount. it is only a single din. BUT here is the thing either above or below the radio it will say cobalt in the factory letters and is lit up in either blue or red leds. i havent talked to him in a while... but im sure if we all emailed him he would continue progress on it and get them rolling into production. i am supposed to get the prototype

 

although i got a double din id like to help who do i email and bg about this?

ok heres the deal... it wont be a full piece... it will mount over the metra kit the led bar will go inside the cubby hole and it will have the COBALT lettering. im going to ask about whether he can add SS to it for some of you guys. price will be about $60 once he starts making them. maybe i can get some leaked pics for any of you interested.

another update: he is cutting the pieces right now. he is waiting on a picture of the cobalt letters now to cut them out

 

I had a humount in my firebird. They are a nice finishing touch. This may be a dumb question but is he including the metra kit or is it just $60 for the lettering/light?

 

im not sure yet, thats what sparked the idea i have one in my trans am. hopefully it includes both. i will find out tomorrow and i will get pics up on here when i get mine. maybe then it will spark more interest. right now there isnt a lot of interest it seems
