Help with single din 2007 base install

Hey guys my car is a LS 2007 base model so no onstar or pioneer, i just picked up the single din kit with wiring adapter and antennae adapter, also got the PAC interface.

Now I want to start by saying this is just for gathering information, i havent even look at the wiring yet or tried to hook anything up but i hate getting deep into a projector then finding out i have to go to home depot and i need to get a ride.

I have installed stereos before with just simple color to color butt connections. but i never used an interface like this, and the Double Din walkthrough seems like it more than what i have to do here, plus it seems like 05-06 is different than 07 and 08+ is different as well.

So im wondering what has to be done to install my headunit (older Jensen UV8 dvd) will the connections clip together and then all i have to do is connect the speaker wire? Will i need to run a power wire for my 07? A guy told me at a recent meet that the power goes through the PAC so i dont need to, but i see all these other people that have to run a power wire.

Im just confused and not comfortable enough to go poking around yet. Any help is appreciated.

Bump, just looking for a little help here please.

I search single din install, stereo install, single din, radio install. Only found the walkthrough for a double din.

you don't need a seperate power wire unless you're hooking up an amp iirc. or maybe that was just because i was using a line out converter before i got my double din pioneer
