key fobs not programing with tech 2 or snap on solus

just wounding if anyone has had any issues with programming new key fobs to their car. i bought the car used and with out key fob. i bough new aftermarket ones off of ebay and i cant get them programed. i have tired the gm tech 2 which was a china clone so i though maybe that function doesn't work on that. i have a snap on solus scanner and when i open the module to program the key fobs it does not work. what can i check to see what the hold up is?? does the remote receiver go bad on these cars??

did you figure this out? same thing is happening to me. ordered china knock offs online and the internals look different but the seller said that they should work. hook up tech 2 get all the way to program part where it says hit lock/unlock simultaneously with the 60 second countdown timer and at the end it fails for both remotes...

I still haven't figured it out. I just quit when I bought a solus pro scanner and tried with it since the tech two was a knock off and figured that was the reason behind it. If u figure it out please let me know I couldn't figure it out and it's been over 4 months. I just gave up
